Baked Fish with Tomato sauce

Have some Italian food tonight, tasty and wonderful. To make a complete meal serve this Italian baked fish with tomato sauce,  brown rice and salad.


  • 4 ‏firm white fish fillets
  • 4 ‏garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 ‏onion, chopped
  • 3 cups ‏tomato, chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons ‏olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon ‏lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏crused red chilli
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ‏basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ‏capers


  1. Preheat oven to 425 F
  2. To make a sauce heat oil in a pan and add onion. When onion colour starts to change add garlic. After cooking for 2 min add tomatoes , capers, salt, crushed red chilli and black pepper.Simmer for 15 min on low heat.
  3. Season the fillets with salt and black pepper and place it in a baking dish.Pour tomato sauce (equally) on each piece. In the end add some lemon juice, olive oil and arrange olives over the fish.
  4. Bake for 8-12 min or until fish is fully cooked ( you can check that by inserting a fork into one of the fillet, if fish flakes easily it means it it fully cooked). Serve with rice and salad.
