This dish is a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors. These buffalo wings are fantastic and perfect for a great snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Chicken Wings
- 1/2 cup Self raising flour
- Oil for frying
For Marination
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
FOR BATTER:
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper powder
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Water (chilled) as required for batter
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
FOR SAUCE:
- 2 tbsp Chili Sauce
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilies (crushed)
- 1 tbsp Garlic (crushed)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcester Sauce
Directions
- Break chicken wings into 2 portions from center.
- Marinate chicken wings in a large bowl with salt, black pepper powder and garlic powder. Leave the wings for 30 min.
- Take another bowl for making batter. Add flour, corn flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper powder,oil and egg. Mix well with chilled water until a smooth batter is formed.
- Take out flour in a plate.
- Dip marinated chicken wings in batter and then roll in flour.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan. Deep fry coated chicken wings in batches on medium heat from both sides until crispy and golden.Take out on paper towel so that the excess oil is absorbed by the towel.
- Heat oil in another pan, add crushed garlic. Slightly fry for a minute.Add Chili sauce, ketchup, Worcester sauce, honey, salt and crushed red chilies. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add fried wings to sauce, toss well. Transfer spicy buffalo wings on a serving plate. Serve hot and ENJOY!
