A creamy fruity yummy dessert, with the layers of fruit and cake with whipped cream. Its a healthy snack for kids and will fulfill their craving for cream and something delicious at the same time. Adults will too definitely love it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fruit cocktail (without its syrup)
- 2 cups pineapple chunks (without its syrup)
- 1 cup Strawberries cut into two or three longitudinal pieces
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups whipped cream
- 1 frozen pound cake
- 1 1/4 cup Strawberry jam
- 5 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
For garnishing
- Swiss roll cut as desired
- Few Strawberry and pineapple chunks
Directions:

Combine all the fruit, in a bowl, with vanilla extract, mix well and keep aside, reserving some for garnishing.

In another bowl, beat whip cream until stiff peaks formed.

Cut pound cake into small equal sized pieces of about an inch.

Mix lemon juice with water and sugar to make a syrup to soften the cake.

Heat jam in a pan with with 1.5 TBS of water until its all mixed, incorporated and pour-able.

Now take a serving bowl, cover the bottom of bowl with 3/4 cup of whipped cream.

Evenly spread cake pieces on whipped cream, covering the bottom of bowl leaving no place in between the cake pieces. Drizzle 5-6 TBS of lemon-sugar syrup over cake. This will soften the cake and serve as a sweetener providing a yummy taste.

Drizzle 1/3 of the jam syrup over the cake,spread with the spoon allowing the syrup to show at the sides of the bowl.

Now top with 1/3 of the fruit and press down lightly with the back of spoon followed by the 2 cup of whip cream. Make sure that jam syrup, fruit and whip cream all show at the sides of the bowl making layers.

Repeat the layering twice more.Garnish with pineapple chunks, strawberries and Swiss rolls.

Refrigerate, creamy cocktail trifle is ready to serve.
