Dumplings with Apple Sauce is a quick and easy recipe of dumplings served with nutritious apple sauce. This can be a healthy breakfast for your kids and if you want them to have fruits, you can try this with a variation of fruits.
Ingredients
- 250 g curd cheese/cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons semolina
- 4 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 apples
- 150 ml water
- 40 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:

Mix together cheese, 2 Tbsp breadcrumbs, egg, semolina and oil in a bowl and make a firm dough. Put the dough in refrigerator for 20 minutes. Make 4 dumplings with the dough. Boil some water and add a pinch of salt. Put the dumplings in the boiling water and cook for 5-6 minutes.

Roast the remaining 2 Tbsp in a pan until golden brown. Now roll the dumplings in breadcrumbs.

Peel the apples, remove seeds and cut in small pieces. Take a pot and cook together apples, water, sugar and cinnamon for 15 minutes or until the apples are soft. You can also add a few drops of lemon juice. Mash the apples with a fork. Serve the dumplings with the applesauce.
